Dealing with Betrayal & Hurt

Picture a scenario where your own children turn against you, calling you hurtful names like glutton, drunkard, and a friend to crooks and wrongdoers. They even go as far as labeling you a demon or being controlled by one, twisting and attributing your ability to heal and set people free from oppression, to the devil. Then finally, they completely reject you all together. (Matthew 11:22).

Their hatred towards you is so intense that when you are wrongly accused of a crime and imprisoned, they would rather see a known criminal set free instead of you (Matthew 27:15-23).

This is the ordeal that Jesus endured, but because of His profound love for us, His creation, His children, He asked God to forgive us for our actions against Him. Furthermore, He willingly became a sacrificial lamb to save us from the punishment we deserved, which is eternal damnation, showing the depth of His love that goes beyond our comprehension.

When we are faced with our own rejection, defamation, slander, or harm from others, we should emulate God's example by forgiving and loving them.

Following God's instruction to take up our cross can be hard to do (Matthew 16:24). It demands complete denial of our own will, desires and feelings, and instead embrace God's will as citizens of His Kingdom.

But as hard as this may be, as we obey God's commands, everything will gradually make sense and become easier.

The Bible says, love is the only thing that can cover a multitude of sins which is showing us that love holds great power, a power that becomes evident only when we act on it (Matthew 11:25).

We received life through God's love and humility. Therefore, think about the influence that your own love and humility can have.

"To those of you who are willing to listen, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you." - Luke 6:27-28

Love's ability to cover a multitude of sins is a testament to its enduring strength, showing us that even in our darkest moments, there is always the possibility of redemption and transformation through the power of God's love.

Even though Jesus endured abuse, mistreatment, rejection, slander, and underestimation, His immense love for us remained unwavering as He continued to be the path to salvation.

When you experience betrayal, rejection, or hurt, recognize it as the enemy's attempt to make you stop loving others and seek revenge.

However, follow Jesus' example when he confronted the spirit within Peter, saying, "Get thee behind me, Satan." Jesus saw how it was the enemies influence on Peter and how the enemy was using Peter to hinder His mission.

Unlike us, he chose not to seek revenge.

Jesus, guided by discernment from the Holy Spirit through his communion with Him, understood that our true enemy is not one another, but the spiritual forces that impact our lives (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). Therefore, we should follow his example and intercede for one another (Romans 8:34).

Don't allow the enemy to hinder your purpose or deprive you of your blessings, but instead see it for what it is: the enemy using people's behaviors to hinder you from growing spiritually and moving forward toward the purposes God has for you.

Love is the only thing that can cover a multitude of sins and when we choose to love unconditionally, like Jesus Christ does with us, we are tapping into God's divine power that can bring healing and restoration (1Peter 4:8).

This message is for those who are spiritual mature and aspire to become spiritually mature. According to the Bible, when you are spiritually mature you operate differently than someone who is not (Galatians 6:1).

The Bible tells us with humility and gentleness, seek to restore your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of pursuing peace with everyone and striving for holiness, as without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

A call for salvation

When you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, His spirit will come to live inside you. This is one of the greatest blessings of salvation. You don't have to go through someone else to get to God, and He will live in your heart where you and Him become one and have a relationship.

All you have to do is make the choice of salvation by repenting of your sins and accepting Jesus into your life by confessing that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that He came from Heaven to die for your sins (Romans 10:9).

Here's a prayer you can repeat:

"Jesus, I confess that you are Lord, and I believe you died and was risen for my sins. I repent and ask for forgiveness of my sins, and I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. Come into my heart and remove my sins. Thank you for forgiving me and making me into a new person in Jesus' name, Amen."

Once you have done this, please pray and ask God to guide you to a ministry where you can grow and start living the abundant life Jesus promised and died for.
