Don't allow your past to hinder your future

Updated: Sep 21

It is essential not to let the experiences and mistakes of your past hinder your progress towards a brighter future. Every individual encounters challenges and setbacks at some point in their lives, but it is crucial to learn from these experiences rather than allowing them to define your path forward. By acknowledging your past but not dwelling on it, you can focus on the present moment and work towards shaping a more positive and fulfilling future.

Don't allow your past to interrupt what your future holds

God wants us to recognize who He truly is, and that although your past may not have been ideal, it has no bearing on what your future can become.

God desires for you to observe and witness the wonders He will perform for you when you place your trust in Him (Psalm 46:10). Keep in mind that our Creator reigns supreme, and there is nothing too difficult for Him to achieve, bring about, or fulfill in your life (Jeremiah 32:27).

It is not about who you were that counts or matters, it is about who you are becoming. You are not defined by the past and the future is what you make it.

You have the power to change your story. You can change your sad beginning to a happy ending. Your start in life doesn't have to be your end and your future can be different and better than how your past was...As long as you are alive you can re-write the chapters of your life. It is never too late. An excerpt from It's OK to Be Single

God is the key to your success and where you can get access to the keys needed for you to reach the heights of your potential and go beyond your limitations.

You were created to do extraordinary things, but you need a life plan on how to carry them out. With the wisdom you get from God you will have insight to help you make the right decisions to accomplish those extraordinary things.

Your life may have started off being poor, unhappy, or unsuccessful and although these conditions are how your life may have started it is not meant for you to remain there. Instead re-write your story to align with God's purpose for your life to ensure a happy ending.

Every individual faces challenges and setbacks at some point, but it is important to remember that these circumstances do not have to be permanent.

Embracing the idea of a fresh start and a new narrative allows you to take control of your destiny. It is a reminder that your past does not dictate your future, and that every setback is an opportunity for growth.

By shifting your perspective and focusing on God's purpose for your life, you can pave the way for a more fulfilling and meaningful journey ahead.

 A call for salvation

When you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, His spirit will come to live inside you. This is one of the greatest blessings of salvation. You don't have to go through someone else to get to God, and He will live in your heart where you and Him become one and have a relationship.

All you have to do is make the choice of salvation by repenting of your sins and accepting Jesus into your life by confessing that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that He came from Heaven to die for your sins (Romans 10:9).

Here's a prayer you can repeat:

"Jesus, I confess that you are Lord, and I believe you died and was risen for my sins. I repent and ask for forgiveness of my sins, and I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. Come into my heart and remove my sins. Thank you for forgiving me and making me into a new person in Jesus' name, Amen."

Once you have done this, please pray and ask God to guide you to a ministry where you can grow and start living the abundant life Jesus promised and died for.
